Starting Over

Hello everybody,
I hope you're having a great day!
This is a new start for my blog, because of that I want to talk to you about starting over again.

Sometimes you feel like having a brand new start, it's a feeling that doesn't go away unless something's done about it. It can be a big change or just something small. For me, starting over always comes together with a turning point, like going to university.
There are a few different ideas I want to share with you to help you get a fresh start.

1. Give your room a makeover
Make sure you have two parts in your room, the first part should be where you work, the second one where you relax. First of all, place your desk close to a window, so you can get a lot of natural light. Also your desk is the place where you work, so it needs to be organized, clean and with enough space.
On my desk I have a place for my laptop, diary, books, photos, pencil case and some notepads. That's really all I need.
Next, put everything that distracts you away. It'll help you work harder and more.
Your working place should give you the energy to work hard every single day.

2. Throw things away
Holding onto your past isn't something I'd recommend. You can't get your past back, and well, sometimes you'd rather forget about what happened once upon a time. Therefore throw things away, so that new things can come in its place.
Life is about making memories, but over all about living now and making plans for the future. Don't let the past stand in the way of making new memories and plans.

3. Clean out your wardrobe
Go over everything you have and only keep the pieces you love and suit your style.
It's unnecessary to fill your closet with clothes you never wear and don't even like.
Because, if you do so, you can go shopping again and buy more clothes, to fill those empty places in your closet.

4. Do what you want and like
It's no use studying something you don't like or working where you don't want to work. You'll feel unhappy each and every day. You deserve to do what you like to do, and this might involve a lot of work, but it'll be worth it for sure.

Starting over isn't something you have to do because other people say so. It's because you feel like you deserve a new start, because you feel like you're finally able to let go off the past and build a new life.
It isn't something easy to do, so do it when you're ready, don't force yourself.
Good luck and enjoy a new start (if you need one of course).
